What’s your blog?
What’s your cause? What's your band? What's your book?
What’s the link you want people to see more than anything else?
I hereby declare this “Shameless Saturday.”
Post a link to whatever it is you’re all about with no shame or apologizing or feeling like you’re making a comment on a post you really don’t care about but are instead secretly trying to pimp your own blog. (I’ve done that myself many times. The best way to do it is to say, “That’s an interesting post. It reminds me of something I wrote recently on my blog ….” Sometimes when people do that it's actually a good link to something they wrote that is similar to what was written on another post. But when I was coming up, on 8 mile, just trying to rock the mic at any chance I was given, that was definitely one of the techniques I employed.)
Please, use the comments this weekend to let us know about your blog or your cause or your band or your whatever. The Internets are so big it’s hard to find everything cool.
Tell us what’s up with a link. (I hope to do something like this once a season, so this is the summer edition of Shameless Saturday)

Woo hoo!
Thanks for letting me shamelessly promote my blog:
ReplyDeletehttp://nerdinthecorner.blogspot.com
It's never serious, mostly just whatever silly stuff happens to be rolling around in my head at the time. I appreciate all new visitors!
http://scottypdogg.wordpress.com/ is my blog with thoughts about walking with Christ. I live in Oregon, so if that's a connection point for you please check out my blog!
ReplyDeleteBy Singing Light, where I talk about books mostly, but occasionally life as an Orthodox Christian.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Jon for giving us folks a chance to get word out about what we think is worth looking at.
ReplyDeleteMy blog. Check it out. Leave a comment.
Thoughts...Centered on Christ and Applied to Man
A friend's blog. Good stuff, very good stuff.
The Symposium
I'm a reader and writer, currently going through my 50 favorite books on my blog: A Light Inside
ReplyDeleteOccasionally I even link to Stuff Christians Like. :D
Also, if you don't think Harry Potter is evil, you can find me wrocking over here: Library Lily & The Tales of the Bard
(hey ... you said it was Shameless Saturday!)
I have a couple blogs that I have barely started but hope to continue because blogging is funnnnn.
ReplyDelete1) http://wormwoodresponds.blogspot.com/
C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters is one of my favorite books. I can never claim the writing and philosophical skills he possesses, but I love the idea of demons discussing how to get a hold of humanity. I'm trying to start this blog about issues I know are prevalent in our society (or at least MY problems), from the perspective of Wormwood, the recipient of Screwtape's Letters.
2) http://returningtodust.blogspot.com/
This is another blog I have just started (as in....two days ago) about fads in our society and how ridiculous they are, and because I'm a dork, I like to put some sort of WWJD spin on them. Only after I wrote a couple posts did I realize how much I'm stealing from SCL...except this is more like Stuff College Kids Like. Maybe I should change the name.
Both of these have just started and I would love input and ideas! Because I tend to run out pretty fast.

ReplyDeleteI have been learning a LOT there. Great for guys to read also if you want to learn about being a Godly leader!
Mt blog on my struggle to grow and deepen my Faith. Very honest even about the tough stuff.

Hi, all!
ReplyDeleteMy name's Jo, and my blog is Three Star Night. The official description says that it's "A photomanipulation 'webcomic' lamenting and celebrating the human condition," but really, it's whatever I'm reflecting on (usually spiritual) for that particular half a week.
I just celebrated my 50th post and am having a celebratory contest ending Monday. There's still time to enter, and I look forward to maybe hearing from some of you!
MooreGood.com is helping churches and non-profits do more good with technology. We're not about using more technology, but about using technology better.
ReplyDeleteVisit MooreGood.com if your church or non-profit needs a website. For a limited time, churches and non profits get a free website and domain name. Hosting fees apply.
I read SCL on a regular basis (like just about every day), but I rarely, if ever, comment. Now I get a chance to be shameless! I live in a remote Eskimo village in Alaska and I started a blog to save myself from having to tell the same stories over and over again. It's full of my random musing on everything from cross-country skiing to the TV show LOST. I only have about 3 readers so far, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?!
ReplyDeletehttp://mary-ateacherslife.blogspot.com/
My husband made a really cool bible search tool with strongs concordance and optional words of Christ in red. Its so easy to use, much better than bible gateway. http://www.SwordSeek.com We just wanted to get God's word out there easy to access and free!
ReplyDeleteI have two blogs I update regularly. The first is all about television (new stuff, old stuff, lists, etc) at www.thetalkingbox.com. ReplyDeletethis is a blog I recently started about my imperfect walk with my perfect God. It started out as random thoughts about stuff I was going through but ended up being a walk through the NT one chapter at a time......kinda a Bible study if you will. Still just my thought but this gives it more direction.
