Oh Terence.

Happy Memorial Day.

I’m at the beach with my hott wife and kids judging people that aren’t wearing tankini’s.

Fresh Stuff Christians Like will be back tomorrow.

In the meantime, please enjoy some Terence Trent D’Arby.

P.S. I am going to start every conference speech, sermon, thing where I get to talk to people the same way he does at the eight second mark.

  1. For us unemlightened outsiders, what is Memorial Day? Thanks.

  2. It's too bad he didn't earn enough from his music to afford him some dance lessons. :) He dances better than I do though.

  3. Well, that would be a very cool way to start a sermon and I would sit up and listen to you! Unless it didn't work and you just kept sliding.

  4. Where is TTD now?

You will have to make sure that the floor is very slick and that you have slick shoes. I would pay to see that.

  5. Does that mean you would have to come out in your socks?

  6. Go for it! However, realize that the vast majority of those of us over 30 will immediately have a flashback to Tom Cruise in "Risky Business." Your talk is gonna have to be pretty darn good to beat that image!

  7. I'd LOVE to see that! Then if it didn't work you could just say "Razzle Dazzle" and walk off!

  8. I still love that song 20 years later! Good post!

  9. if you really want to seal the deal you need to incorporate what happens at 2:26 mark and 3:18 mark

  10. I think he's a good dancer! And I do it for a living (dancing, not kissing).

  12. Has it really been 20 years?!

Stacy is right - especially the 3.18 move. It would make for an unforgettable sermon.

  13. My favorite parts are the ones when there are randomly like 80 back up dancers for a split second shot.

Seriously... they probably shot them dancing for hours. Can you imagine being pumped for this awesome music video that has you dancing and then you end up in it for less than 3 seconds!

    Ouch.

  14. Are you really saved?

  15. @Lyn,

Memorial Day is a US holiday to honor the men and women who have died in military service. It is a national holiday here and many people have the day off. (Including blogs, apparently)

  18. SWEET! It would be fun to start any talk. I'm a trainer and I will have to figure out a way to do that on carpet...
