Jesus Tattoo Contest - Extended Deadline

There are over 100 entries for the Stuff Christians Like God themed tattoo contest.
Entries continue to trickle in so I thought I would extend the entry deadline to Wednesday, July 23. Just email your entry to theacuffs@yahoo.com by midnight on Wednesday and I will throw you in the mix.

I will post a bunch tomorrow to show you what is being submitted but here is one based off of Luke 9:23:

Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

They can be small and discrete or big and wild for the contest. Don't let the larger ones I show on the site hinder you from submitting one. But wow, that is some hardcore commitment in this picture.

p.s. I think that is a legit tattoo, but if someone emails me and tells me that is sharpie marker, God is going to be so upset. He hates when people cheat at God-based contests. I think the book of Joel is pretty clear about that.

  1. Have you actually ever read the book Joel before? LOL

  13. Anon at 4:57 is my sister. I was on the phone with her when she posted the comment. I thought it was hysterical. I'm just saying, it runs in our family.

And she's not even from Louisville!

  14. When you do post the entries I suggest putting up an electronic poll that only allows one vote per person. That way the "anonymous" votes won't have room for multiple votes from one person. It's easier to keep track of if in a poll and less work for you ultimately.

Basically I'm just wanting everything to stay fair. No room for cheaters wanting a bag-o-awesome you know?

And this "tattoo" is a nice idea I suppose but off center sadly. The idea is cool though if executed better. Too simple for my liking though......I'd add more texture to the outline personally.

Also, one last question, is that you? I just feel like this is something you would do for laughs. aaaaaanyway.

  15. I was going to point out that "tat" looked more like it was made of electrical tape, but I thought peopel would think (1) I was crazy and (2) I was a jerk for claiming it wasn't real. Now that I see about a handful of people agreeing with me, I feel a little less like a jerk.

  16. It does bear some resemblance to electrical tape and I am actually hoping that this is a fake, because as allison leigh pointed out, it is slightly off centre and that would suck if they were stuck with something like that.

  17. Could be fake...but tattoos often look really dark the first week or so. Could just be brand spankin' new. Who knows.
